University of Maryland, A.B., 1958; University of Maryland School of Law, LL.B., 1959. Admitted to Maryland Bar, 1959. Member, Maryland State Bar Association (board of governors, 1982-83); Frederick County Bar Association (president, 1972). Board of Trustees, Maryland Institute for the Continuing Professional Education of Lawyers (MICPEL), 1984-85. Fellow, Maryland Bar Foundation. Member, Frederick Rotary Club; Calvary United Methodist Church.
