The Pricing and Selection Committee for Rehabilitation and Employment Programs started in 1985 (Chapter 735, Acts of 1985). The Committee reviews contracts and establishes fair market prices for goods and services provided to State government agencies by sheltered workshops located in Maryland. Sheltered workshops contract with individual State agencies to provide janitorial, food and micrographic services, and to manufacture supplies, such as snow stakes for use on State highways.

The Committee consists of six members. Four serve ex officio. Two represent Maryland Works, Inc. (Code State Finance and Procurement Article, secs. 14-106, 14-107).
