Report to Governor & General Assembly due Nov. 1, 2000.

The Study Commission on Lobbyist Ethics began in 1999 (Joint Resolution no. 2, Acts of 1999). The Commission is examining the Maryland Public Ethics Law as it relates to regulated lobbyists. The Commission will collect information about lobbying practices and standards of ethics for regulated lobbyists, formulate a code of ethics for lobbyists, and make recommendations regarding the laws that govern lobbyists.
