Member, Tri-County Council for Southern Maryland, 1995-; Task Force on Affiliation between Historic St. Mary's City Commission and St. Mary's College of Maryland, 1996; State Water Quality Advisory Committee, 1997-; Solid Waste Management Task Force, 1998; Committee on Building Public Trust and Confidence in the Justice System, 1998-99; Task Force to Study the History and Legacy of Slavery in Maryland, 1999; Task Force to Study the Preservation and Enhancement of Maryland's Heritage Resources, 1999- (enchancement & sustainability committee); Special Commission on State Parks, 1999-2000; Task Force to Study the Maryland Agricultural Land Preservation Foundation, 2000-. Born in Great Mills, Maryland, November 15, 1948. Attended University of Baltimore; Montgomery Junior College; University of Maryland. Former assistant director of Operations, Democratic National Committee. Delegate to 1978 Democratic National Conference. Member, Knights of Columbus; Elks; Moose Lodge; Fraternal Order of the Police; Maryland Farm Bureau. Outstanding Young Man of the Year, 1977.
