15. Maryland, Sct. We, the undersigned, Electors of a President and Vice President of the United States, having met at the Stadt House, in the City of Annapolis, on the first Wednesday in December, being the seventh day of the same Month, in the year Seventeen Hundred and Ninety six, and having given our votes, by ballot, agreeably to the directions of the Constitution of the United States, do certify the same to be as follow, For John Adams, Seven, For Thomas Jefferson, Four For Thomas Pinckney, Four, For Aaron Burr, Three, For John Handy, Two.
